1979年台灣關係法TRA明文標示，台灣不是中華民國；那麼【正港e臺灣旗】何時才能在華盛頓D.C.雙橡園飄揚？

AIT美國在臺協會強烈發表三點聲明：
一、我們重申，對於雙橡園一月一日(2015年)的升旗，並不知道、也沒有批准。
二、我們對該行動失望，我們也向台北和華盛頓的台灣資深當局提出嚴正關切。
三、我們希望台灣「確保這類事情不再發生」，以展現其在美台關係中重視的優先項目。

2. We are disappointed with this action, and we have raised our serious concerns with senior Taiwan authorities in Taipei and Washington.
